Platform overview

Understand how Answer Cloud combines static website hosting, an AI companion, content publishing, discovery files, chat, and analytics for your site.

Reviewed

Answer Cloud helps you publish a website people can use and AI systems can read. You can host a complete website here or add an AI companion while your main website stays with its current provider.

What the platform does#

A hosted website starts with editable Astro source. Your coding agent builds that source into static pages and uploads the finished site. Answer Cloud processes the deployment, serves the pages, and generates the discovery and answer-engine layer.

An existing website companion is a separate Answer Cloud content destination associated with your organization. Your main website keeps its current hosting and publishing process. The companion supplies Answer Cloud content and services without requiring a hosting migration.

Area What you work with
Website Pages, layouts, styles, images, navigation, and links in your source project
Content Collections and entries when a CMS is configured and available on the site's plan
Discovery Generated text mirrors, sitemap, robots rules, and structured discovery resources
Chat A generated hosted widget or an external installation that answers from available site content
Analytics Recorded pageviews, agent requests, referrals, and chat activity, subject to the collection method and plan
Agent access MCP tools that inspect the selected organization and site and perform authorized tasks

Public content and crawler access improve readiness for discovery. They do not guarantee inclusion, rankings, or citations in another company's AI answers.

Start with one useful outcome#

For a new website, build your first website. The first launch can publish a starter site before you finish account setup. Keep its editable source so the next session can improve the same site.

For an existing website, set up the companion. Decide which content belongs in the companion, install the features you need, and test them on the main site.

For a site that is already running, connect Claude Code or Codex, then ask the agent to inspect the current organization and site before proposing changes.

Check the result#

A useful first milestone is a public page with accurate information and a working visitor action. Open the page on a phone, follow its main link or form, and ask chat a question that the page actually answers. Confirm the response matches the published facts.

Use the launch checklist before sharing the site, and the dashboard guide when you are ready to review content and activity.
