Standalone Pro billing belongs to an individual site. Only the workspace owner can buy or manage that site's plan. Members can view its billing page and ask the owner to make changes.
Upgrade a standalone site#
- Sign in and select the intended workspace and site.
- Open Plan & billing. Its direct path is
/site/{site_slug}/billingon the application host. - Confirm the site name, current plan, and $20/month for this site terms.
- Choose Upgrade this site to Pro — $20/month, or Continue Pro checkout when checkout is already pending.
- Complete the hosted Stripe checkout and return to the site's billing page.
- Confirm Pro is active for this site before retrying a gated operation.
If payment is still being confirmed, allow the confirmation to complete before starting another purchase. A canceled checkout leaves the current plan unchanged. An existing open checkout can be reused rather than creating multiple subscriptions.
Manage an existing subscription#
Choose Manage billing to open the Stripe billing portal for that site's billing account. The portal provides the payment and subscription actions enabled for that customer. Use available portal controls to update payment details, review invoices/history, or schedule cancellation.
If the portal does not offer the requested change, contact support with the site slug and requested outcome. Do not send card numbers, payment credentials, or full billing documents in an agent prompt. There are no MCP billing tools for changing the subscription.
The billing page can show Billing history when the site already has a billing customer but no active subscription. A companion or legacy site may redirect to its existing access flow rather than expose standalone billing. Ask support about those arrangements instead of assuming they use the same checkout.
Understand when access changes#
Scheduling cancellation preserves Pro until the subscription ends. Once Pro is inactive, a managed standalone site returns to Free: its answer.cloud URL and stored deployments remain, while custom-domain routing and other Pro features are disabled. Domain records and certificates are retained; re-subscribing can restore eligible routes.
The first-month analytics window is based on site creation and does not restart on downgrade. Chat and CMS return to their Free allowances. Review limits before a planned change, particularly if important content falls outside the first ten chat-eligible pages.
Current standalone billing charges the $20 monthly subscription only; usage credits, overages, alerts, and spending-limit controls are not enabled. For Enterprise, multiple-site arrangements, refunds, ownership changes, or an invoice discrepancy, ask the team to review the specific account and contract.
