Offer chat grounded in published website content and use the current supported widget configuration.

answer.cloud provides an on-site AI chat experience that helps visitors ask questions about your published content. Keep that source content accurate and complete, and test important answers after changes.

## Choose the correct installation flow

Hosted and companion pages receive the platform’s configured chat widget automatically. A website hosted elsewhere can use the [external widget installation](https://www.answer.cloud/pages/how-to-install-the-answer-cloud-ai-chat-widget-on-your-website-hosted/). Do not install two copies on a generated answer.cloud page.

## Supported appearance controls

The current embed supports nested chat labels, introductory text, trigger text color, and a top-level public `css_path` for a scoped theme. See the [configuration reference](https://www.answer.cloud/pages/window-aeosettings-configuration-reference-hosted/). This guide does not prescribe an undocumented system-prompt editor or a particular internal framework.

## Verify the experience

Ask a short factual question, check that the response uses the intended content, and follow its reference links. Review observed on-site questions for missing or confusing information. On-site chat is separate from the answers visitors receive in other AI services.
