# Build an AEO Topic Cluster and Question Graph

Use customer questions to organize a useful topic hub, without arbitrary page quotas or citation timelines.

A topic cluster links related answers around a useful subject. A question graph describes how one customer question leads to another. Use them to improve navigation and coverage, not to meet an invented visibility quota.

## Build from real questions

1. Gather questions from support, sales, search data, and your own website chat.
2. Group them by task or decision.
3. Choose a hub that explains the topic and links to detailed answers.
4. Give distinct questions their own pages when the detail warrants it.
5. Remove redundant answers and keep shared facts consistent.

Model-generated questions can suggest gaps, but label them as suggestions and validate them. There is no universal requirement for 40–120 questions or a promised number of days until bots or citations appear.

## Maintain and measure

Use stable URLs, descriptive links, primary evidence, and an editorial owner. Track requests, human referrals, and sampled citations separately. Compare outcomes over consistent periods rather than assuming more pages always improve visibility.
